To apply for a new meter, application must be made with our Engineering Division. They will compute any fees associated and those will be paid at Utility Billing. That does not affect an installation as many are not yet ready for the meter to be installed. Once you have determined you are ready for the actual meter installation, you will need to contact Debbie Johnson at 843-918-2010 and she will put you on the next meter schedule. The actual installation could take a week to 10 days after you notify Debbie that you are ready for the meter. The installation crew may have to arrange for line locates with 811, which generally takes a 72 hour turnaround before digging is permitted.
